Corporate Environmental Responsibility

CER - What does it mean?

Environmental CER aims to reduce any damaging effects on the environment from your business' processes.
So what does this mean to me and you? Is this just some fancy acronym we use to sound like we care about the polar bears? Absolutely Not.

Here's some examples of how Citrus actively monitor and minimize our environmental impact:

Weekly Co2 report -  Produced by our fuel supplier, this allows us to monitor our weeky Co2 production from our vehicles.

•Route Optimisation - Our very smart work management software allows us to optimise our engineers daily jobs at the click of a button to reduce fuel consumption/travel time.

Local Supply Chain - We make every effort to procure our materials and supplies within Knowsley, this reduces driving and keeps the Knowsley pound in Knowsley.

•Local Jobs - We actively recruit for our staff from the local area, this not only promotes prosperity in the area by providing quality jobs and opportunities, but reduces carbon emissions.

Recycling - Where applicable, make every effort to recycle our waste properly through approved suppliers

Energy Consumption - Our head office is fully fitted with super efficient LED lighting and heating to minimise our energy usage

“The time is past when humankind thought it could selfishly draw on exhaustible resources. We know now the world is not a commodity, is not a source of revenue; it’s a common good, it’s our heritage. And the consequences of climate change are fully known now – we’re not talking about theories anymore, we’re talking about certainties.”
